Nominations Sought For the 2010 Face of Sport Awards
A prestigious awards ceremony will take place at Drum Hill Country House, Drumoghill, Letterkenny on the 20th August to recognise sports stars of the county were keen sports persons will be crowned the 2010 Face of Sport.
Now it is your chance to have a say in who will win the 2010 awards by ensuring your favorite athlete, team, volunteer or administrator is nominated.
Brian Cunningham Managing Director of the Awards has said that he is looking for people to nominate who they feel have outshone in their talent this year and has shown remarkable dedication to the sport.
The Awards provide an opportunity to recognise excellence and achievements encompassing all sport ranging from the local sporting hero to the elite professional.
The Nominations can be sent in by letter to The Donegal Face of Sport Awards, C/ O Brian Cunningham, Ummerawirrinan, Teelin, Carrick, Donegal Town Co. Donegal. You can also call The Face of Ireland Offices in relation to your nomination on 0749190626 or by email to brian@faceofireland.com.
Nominations will close on the 1st August and the winners will be announced in local press.
So whoever you feel deserves to be acknowledged we want to hear from you.

• Lifetime Contribution to Sport
Background
This is the first annual Face of Sport Awards and is run in conjunction with the Face of Ireland. The annual dinner dance will take place on the 20th August 2010 in the Drum Hill Country House (formally known as Biddy Friels) located four miles outside Letterkenny on the Lifford Road.
The aim of the awards ceremony is to recognise our sporting stars in County Donegal and to acknowledge their contribution to the sporting world.
