- Fintown Steam Engine Railway Line - (20 Minute Drive) - €8 adult, €5 child (Family Pass 2adults+2children €24, 2adults+3children €29) - Donegal's only operational narrow gauge railway, nestling deep in the heart of spectacular mountainous scenery steeped in tradition, myth and folklore and running along the crystal clear waters of Loch Finn. This unique journey is a three mile return trip, right along the shores of Loch Finn.
- Slieve League - Highest Sea Cliffs in Europe - (1 Hour Drive) - Slieve League cliffs, situated on the south west coast of Donegal, are said to be the highest and one of the finest marine cliffs in Europe. To fully enjoy the spectacle of Slieve League it is best to leave your car at the car park and walk the few miles to the cliffs so as not to miss the exciting scenery of the area. There are terrific views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Sligo Mountains and Donegal Bay as you walk towards the terrifyingly high top of Slieve League, where the cliff face of Bunglas rises over 600m above the raging ocean.
- Glenveagh National Park & Castle - (40 Minute Drive) - Admission to castle - adult €5, senior €3, child €2, Admission to Park & Visitors Centre – Free - The park consists of some 16,500 hectares of mountains, lakes, glens and woods with a large herd of red deer. Glenveagh Castle is a 19th Century, castellated mansion and was built between 1867 and 1873 and surrounded by the famous Glenveagh Gardens and also includes their popular visitor centre.
- Ulster American Folk Park – (45 Minute Drive) – Adult £6, Child £3. This outdoor museum tells the story of emigration during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The Old and New World layout of the Park illustrates the various aspects of emigrant life on both sides of the Atlantic. Traditional thatched buildings, American log houses and a full-scale replica emigrant ship and the dockside gallery help to bring a bygone era back to life. Costumed demonstrators go about their everyday tasks in a traditional manner in authentically furnished buildings. Visitors are able to taste traditional fayre and see demonstrations on traditional Irish and American crafts and agriculture including spinning, printing, blacksmithing and textiles. The museum also includes an indoor ‘Emigrants’ Exhibition and includes a Centre for Migration Studies/library which is accessible to all visitors.
